End-of-Life Care Training for Social Work Students (3rd round)

Venue: Social Sciences Function Room, 11/F, The Jockey Club Tower, Centennial Campus, The University of Hong Kong
Objective: To equip social work students with basic end-of-life care knowledge and skills
Covered Topics:

This training will cover specific topics derived from the JCECC Project End-of-Life Care Core Competency Framework:

  • Communication skills with end-of-life patients
  • End-of-life care decision making
  • Family communication facilitation skills
  • Bereavement care
Target participants: Students who are studying in the undergraduate or postgraduate programme leading to registered social worker qualification in Hong Kong
Prerequisite: Participants are required to complete the Basic Module of the JCECC Community Psychosocial End-of-Life Care professional online training course (www.jcecc.hk/onlinelearning) before the confirmation of their registration
